THIS IS WHERE STRENGTH GETS REAL — AND LEGENDS ARE BORN.

At the WellneZone Armwrestling Club, we train harder, pull smarter, and push each other to new levels — whether you’re stepping up to the table for the first time or chasing national success. This is not a hobby.

This is a community of competitors, and everyone is welcome.

Our training sessions are high-energy, structured, and focused on real armwrestling technique. We build strength with purpose, sharpen skills at the table, and create an environment where every athlete is supported and challenged.

Proven Competitive Success

WellneZone athletes have achieved outstanding results at national level. At the South African National Armwrestling Championships, the club earned nine medals across multiple divisions, including gold, silver, and bronze performances.

Several WellneZone athletes have also been selected to represent South Africa at international level, competing at the World Armwrestling Championships.

This reflects the standard of coaching, commitment, and development within the club.

Rooted in the Garden Route

Based in the Mossel Bay / Garden Route area, WellneZone Armwrestling Club continues to grow the sport locally while competing provincially and nationally.

Our coaches are passionate about developing juniors, women, and new pullers, helping build a strong future for armwrestling in South Africa.

From Local Tables to the World Armwrestling Championships

In 2025, the global armwrestling spotlight turned to Bulgaria, host of the World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) World Championships — the pinnacle of international competition. Among the elite athletes selected to represent South Africa under the South African Armwrestling Federation (SAAF) was Tihan, proudly representing both his country and the WellneZone Armwrestling Club.

Tihan made history as the first WellneZone Armwrestling Club member to compete at the World Championships. While several athletes from the club qualified for international selection, Tihan was the one who stepped onto the world stage — a defining milestone for both his personal journey and the club as a whole.

Competing at Worlds meant testing himself against the very best armwrestlers on the planet. Nations renowned for producing world champions filled the venue, bringing unmatched intensity, experience, and technical mastery to the table. Every pull demanded focus, resilience, and belief — and Tihan embraced the challenge with composure and determination.

Beyond the matches themselves, the experience extended far beyond results. Bulgaria offered Tihan the rare opportunity to rub shoulders with icons of the sport — athletes whose names are known worldwide and whose careers have shaped modern armwrestling. Standing alongside these legends reinforced the scale of the moment and the level at which he was now competing.

Representing South Africa in SAAF colours and WellneZone on his sleeve, Tihan showed that world-class armwrestling talent can rise from the Garden Route to the global stage.

A Journey of Rapid Growth and Recognition

Tihan’s rise did not go unnoticed back home.

In 2025, he was honoured at the Mossel Bay Sports Awards, where he received the Newcomer of the Year Award — a testament to his rapid progression, discipline, and impact within the sporting community. In the same year, he was also named Runner-Up for Sportsman of the Year, placing him among the most respected and recognised athletes in the region across all sporting codes.

These accolades reflect more than performance alone. They highlight Tihan’s work ethic, sportsmanship, and commitment to representing armwrestling with professionalism and pride.

In a meaningful gesture that symbolized both gratitude and community connection, Tihan presented a WellneZone Armwrestling Club jersey to Mayor Alderman Dirk Kotzè, acknowledging the support of local leadership and helping raise awareness for armwrestling within the Mossel Bay area.

This is not the end of the road — it is the foundation.

First to Worlds, carrying his club, his community, and his country with pride.
